Experience the thrill and challenge of preparing a community for climate change. Inventory your assets, assess your vulnerabilities, and plan for adaptation in a realistic simulation that mimics many of the challenges faced by local governments and their partners. This training will prepare you to be more proactive and to lead your community into the unknown.

Learning Objectives for this Session Include: 
  1. Describe the three components of vulnerability.
  2. Assess exposure sensitivity and adaptive capacity for each of their identified assets.
  3. Evaluate the probability of climate impacts and assess damage disruption and costs to their identified assets. 
  4. Collaborate across sectors to identify adaptation strategies for their community.

This session is approved for the following continuing education credits:
  • 3 AIA LU|HSW
  • 3 LFA General credits
