*This workshop extends through two session time-slots. We ask that participants who choose to attend commit to stay for the full workshop* Experience the thrill and challenge of preparing a community for climate change. Inventory your assets, assess your vulnerabilities, and plan for adaptation in a realistic simulation that mimics many of the challenges faced by local governments and their partners. This training will prepare you to be more proactive and to lead your community into the unknown.
Learning Objectives for this Session Include: - Describe the three components of vulnerability.
- Assess exposure sensitivity and adaptive capacity for each of their identified assets.
- Evaluate the probability of climate impacts and assess damage disruption and costs to their identified assets.
- Collaborate across sectors to identify adaptation strategies for their community.
